Hello Tim,

We have developed an application for storage management and archiving from
Omero that does exactly what you describe.

The tool provides basic statistics on the storage usage per user and per
group.
There are several protocols implemented to archive inactive projects.

You can find more information on www.omerostoragemanager.com
That site also contains a download version that you could use to evaluate
the product.

Currently we have several Columbus/Perkin Elmer clients using the product.

Please feel free to contact us if you need more information.

Best regards,

Kees Machielsen

Subject: [ome-users] archiving users

Hello,

Can someone point out the basic protocol for archiving the data of users who
are no longer active? Say, when a postdoc moves on and you want the stuff
off the OMERO server, but still accessible with the old folder hierarchy if
you need to find something later.

Apologies if this has been covered but searching the archive for 'archive'
is not productive.

Thanks,

Tim
