[ome-users] cant connect to server

Hello,

I've installed 4.4.4-ice34-b3099 with all the prerequisites on Ubuntu 12.04

The server and web seem to be running but I can't connect with insight or omero.web.

I've checked the pg_hba.conf,  checked that port 5432 listening, 
put the stanza in 000-default 

set iptables to accept 4063,4064,443,80



been to troubleshooting page and archives  but didn't see my solution. Just don't know what to try next.

Questions: what configuration settings are required for me to set in order for it to function.
