[ome-devel] OMERO web services

Hi,

We're considering writing a servlet to provide a simple generic JSON/XML
interface to a subset of the functionality of the new OMERO server so
that we can easily incorporate images and metadata into a rich client
(Ajax) application.

Has anyone tried anything like this?

A related question for the OMERO developers: is Python the recommended
language for interfacing with the ICE-based server? Or will Java be
equally usable in the Beta4 release?
