Dear All,
Following on from the release of OMERO 5.0.8 we are pleased to announce the release of version 4.8.0 of the high-speed open-source Fluorescence Lifetime fitting and visualisation tool FLIMfit.
There have been substantial changes, under the hood, to allow this version to run on Matlab 2014b.
Please note that version 8.4 of the Matlab MCR is now required to run FLIMfit for those who do not have Matlab installed. Unfortunately, as a result of these changes, Windows users can no longer write directly into Powerpoint as they could in earlier versions.
The other area that has been substantially modified is the user interface to OMERO which has been somewhat simplified and now has a “look and feel” that mimics that of the OMERO.insight desktop client.
Minor changes include:
* FLIMfit’s internal .raw file format is no longer limited to 6GB.
* Image smoothing is automatically switched to “none” in the front-panel for single-pixel data.
* Improvements to handling of “empty” images (where all data falls below the chosen threshold).
* Improvements to saving of segmentation mask ROIs into OMERO.
