You're right, it's a bug which crept in recently:

I think removing the rule completely will also fix things. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Which makes me wonder, why is the rewrite rule RewriteRule ^/?$ /omero/ [R] and not RewriteRule ^/?$ /webclient/ [R] ?
