Hi Sofia,

Melissa might shed some more light on this issue, but I'm happy to help initially.
I've tried the "Continuous release" version of FIJI from fiji.sc/Downloads. I've
installed it on Apple OS X 10.8.5 with 64bit Java 1.6. I then managed to import
a .mov file using Bio-Formats. The file opened correctly.

At the time being, I'd recommend following http://fiji.sc/MacOSX_tips#Running_Fiji_in_32-bit_mode.
If that doesn't help (or you're not on Apple OS X), please provide your operating system
type and version and your Java version.
