[ome-users] questions about omero clients

I installed omero server on a server connected to a very large storage.
All the pictures are stored on this storage.
I installed a couple of clients ( linux and Mac) and we tried to use them.
My qustion  is how can we get the pictures from the server on the 
clients that means

OMERO.importer    how can I import files directly from omero server
                 not localy pictures.
OMEROinsight_unix.sh   how can use files directly from omero server.
