If there are no messages other than "User removed from group", Mark,
then the simplest choices are:

 * add the user back to the group in question via OMERO.webadmin if
that makes sense for your site;

 * or use the omero-4.1-move-to-group.sql script to move *ALL* data
for that user to a given group. The upgrade instructions point to a
page with more information:
http://openmicroscopy.org/site/support/omero4/server/db-upgrade-41-to-42

If there is anything else in the log, then perhaps you could attach it
to a forum posting?
