[ome-users] Importer + Insight issues

Hi,

I've been using Beta-3.0.1 for a few days. I'm impressed with it so far,
but am having a few problems. Was just wondering if these were known
issues?

1. I have a tiff file which seems to send the Importer (or server) into
an infinite loop. The importer gets to status 9/9 but never finishes and
the server log contains the same messages again and again. I'm happy to
send the relevant files off-list to anyone who might be able to help.
After terminating the importer the file does appear to have been
successfully uploaded.

2. I have a collection of tiffs, with an associated .lei file. When I
try to import the lei file the importer eventually times-out and appears
to leave the database in an inconsistent state. This seems like quite a
serious problem. I won't be able to send the whole dataset (it is work
in progress) but again I can send any relevant logs. I have submitted a
bug report about this through the importer itself.

3. I have successfully imported some other tiffs, but whenever I try to
view them in the client it hangs. This only occurs on Linux, and not on
Windows. The files are about 3MB raw. This is on a clean Ubuntu 8.04.1
system with Java 1.6.0_07.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Perhaps I need to change our
server configuration?
