[ome-users] Trouble accessing OMERO server on Mac

Hi,

I've downloaded and stepped through the  omero-3.0-Beta2.3.dmg  installer.
I then went to localhost:8080/WebAdmin/ and entered

Hostname	localhost
Port		1099
Login		root
Password	omero

After pressing the "Connect" button I waited about 72 seconds and
then received "Invalid Login Params: Authentication failure".

I'm running Tiger on a MacBook Pro.

What am I missing here?
