Hi Eilidh,

I’ve created a small example OMERO.web application which demonstrates how to use the JSON API that Will suggested earlier, but in a more user friendly manner with a web user interface.

The project can be found here on my github and contains a slightly modified version of your script:

This is the “hidden password field” but we decided we’re not ready to support it (various security concerns).

What Eilidh really needs now is a user-friendly way to get hold of the OMERO session ID from
the webclient or Insight, so that this can be used as a script parameter in place of a password
so the script can log in to a remote OMERO server.

But this will require some thought etc and won’t be available until some future release.

 Can discuss more when I’m back on Monday…
