[ome-devel] OME on Holiday

Dear All-



Hope you are all settling down and ready for a few days of rest and relaxation. It's been a great year for the whole OME Consortium,
with several major releases, a huge increase in usage, some great work on our IDR project (see previous email on these lists for more info;
we'll be sending more updates in the New Year).

2015 has been pretty successful for funding.  The Wellcome gave us a short extension to our Strategic Award, through mid-2016, and we're
partners on several H2020 projects- CORBEL, MULTIMOT, Global BioImaging and Euro-BioImaging PPII.  We've applied for more funding to
fund the core team from late 2016 onwards, and these applications are pending.  A huge thanks to everyone (there were a lot of you!!!) who
took the time to lend their support to these applications and to the whole community for their support, feedback, suggestions and contributions
that make these opportunities possible.


While not completely shut down, we will take a break from our normal response times on these mailing lists and the OME Forums.  If anything
seriously urgent comes up, do let us know, but otherwise, things will be pretty quiet.  This includes our tracking of demo account requests, and
the OME demo server.  Expect us to be back on-line and working by Jan 5, 2016.
