[ome-devel] 4.4.5 release of OMERO and Bio-Formats

Dear All-

Today we're launching 4.4.5, a bug-fix release addressing a number of
issues across all components.

For OMERO, this includes a number of improvements to the clients: the
web client now supports "batch de-annotation", filtering of images by
name and improved export to OME-TIFF and JPEG. OMERO.insight has fixes
to thumbnail selection and image importing and exporting. Links have
also been updated in the OMERO documentation. Bio-Formats improvements
include bug fixes for file grouping in many multi-file formats, Maven
build fixes, and ITK plugin fixes.

You will also notice that the documentation for Bio-Formats[1] has
been significantly reworked and is now fully hosted on the OME site.

As always, the software is available from OMERO Downloads[4] and
Bio-Formats Downloads[5].

For information on the upgrade from OMERO 4.4.x to 4.4.5, see the
upgrade guide for system administrators[6]. If you have not upgraded
from 4.3.x to 4.4 yet, then please upgrade directly to 4.4.5 as
explained on the upgrade page linked above.
