Several people have needed these incantations recently. Would it be
possible to add this functionality into the ome commander?

Perhaps a wrapper around:
perl -MData::Dumper -MStorable -e 'print Dumper(retrieve("/etc/ome-
> install.store"))' > ome-install.eval
$EDITOR ome-install.eval
and reverse.
