Dear colleagues,

JPK is seeking an applications scientist with a strong scientific background for a challenging position in Shanghai.



your tasks:

- Demonstration of our scientific instruments.
- Supporting our international applications team with installations, user training, service and technical support.
- Application seminars and presentations at congresses and conferences.
- Close cooperation with our sales and development staff.
- Interface between international customers and the development team.
- Testing of hardware- and software components.

what we expect:
- Degree or postgraduate degree in physics, biophysics, physical chemistry or similar field.
- Strong background in Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) in air and liquids, preferably on biological or polymer samples.
- Excellent technical understanding and quick comprehension of new material.
- Experience in optical microscopy (fluorescence microscopy/confocal/optical tweezers) would be beneficial.
- Experience in biophysics, surface chemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, polymer science or similar fields would be beneficial.
- Confident customer interactions.
- Fluent language skills in English (written and spoken).
- Native Chinese language skills.
- Longer stay outside of China for research in USA or Europe.
- Ability to work well with others, to cooperate, and to share success with the whole team.
- Willingness to travel is important.
