[lm-announce] DeltaVision booking policy

Dear All,

Just to remind you of the policy for booking the DeltaVisions:

1.  2nd floor spectris and M floor spectris are preferentially  
available for live cell imaging.  For fixed cell work, these  
microscopes can be booked if it is available 24 hours prior to your  
session.
2.  M floor RT - please book within the following slots:  8 am - 12  
noon. 12 noon - 5 pm.  5 pm onwards.
3.  LMF spectris, M floor DV3 and LMF DV3 - open booking in place.

Also remember:

-  to book with consideration to others.  e.g. please don't book a 4  
hour fixed cell session from 11 am to 3 pm; this makes it difficult  
for anyone else to use the microscope that day.
-  If you are unable to use your time, please delete your entry from  
the booking sheet as soon as you know you won't be able to use your  
session.
-  If you require the QLM, please let us know in case we need to  
align the laser for you.
-  clean the microscope before and after use (if you're not sure how  
to, come and ask)
-  email me if the microscope is not in pristine condition when you  
arrive to use it, or if you experience any (even minor) problems  
during your session
-  leave the lamp on if anybody is on after you that day.  Wait at  
least an hour before turning the lamp on or off again.
-  fill in the log book
-  replacement oil and lens tissue is available from office 1.05F, or  
email and we will replace it as soon as we have time.
