[lm-announce] Instrument Controller on DeltaVisions

Dear All,

Could anyone using the DeltaVision Spectris or RT microscopes please  
make that you close the IC540 (dv instrument controller software) in  
Windows before switching off the power strip at the end of your  
session.  It is also important that the software is closed by hitting  
the escape key a couple of times, rather than clicking on the "X" at  
the top right hand side of the program window.  Our engineer has  
informed me that failure to do this tends to make the software less  
stable over time.  As usual, please give one of us a shout if you're  
not sure what I'm talking about.
