[lm-announce] 2nd floor spectris etc

Dear All,

1.  The 2nd floor spectris is now up and running again, please feel  
free to start using it as usual and let us know if you have any  
problems..

2.  The LMF DV3 occasionally loses its filter home position.  If this  
happens to you - you will notice because when you take a picture the  
top half of the image will be black - you will need to restart the  
instrument controller to sort it out.  Please don't forget to rack  
down the objectives beforehand.  I also wanted to remind you that you  
don't need to turn off the MIC on this system because it uses a  
different camera that does not need to be heat cycled.

3.  The lid to the Mfloor spectris's C02 chamber has gone walkabouts,  
as has the DIC prism on the 2nd floor spectris.  Can you all keep  
your eyes peeled for these please.  I have had to lend people parts  
from the LMF microscopes and if they go missing we're all stuffed, so  
please remember to put things back where you found them.
