[ome-users] Having a user that (initially) cannot upload data possible? + omero admin sessionlist not working anymore

Dear all,

we were wondering if it is possible to create a configuration where specific users can only view some data, but not perform any upload. As far as i see a user can only be inactive or active, but not „read-only“? Or maybe such a user could be put into a group that is more restricted than „private“ and does not allow adding any data (as at least one group is required per user). Our idea was to maybe configure omero.ldap.new_user_group = „non-upload group“, and then move those to their correct group(s) manually in a next step.

Some issue i also noticed is that „omero admin sessionlist“ does not work anymore since the 5.4 update, it stops with an exception. But the other admin commands such as omero admin diagnostices work fine.

Thank you! Best regards,
Sascha
