[ome-devel] Importing Additional Info About Rois from ImageJ

Hello,

I have been working on adding ROI support to ImageJ - OMERO, and I am
currently trying to figure out how to pass certain information about the
ROIs in ImageJ to OMERO. Specifically, if a ROI is imported to OMERO from
ImageJ I'd like that ROI to know:
1) ImageJ version it came from
2) Boundary behavior of each shape (in ImageJ each shape will be able to
have a unique boundary behavior: open, closed, unspecified)

My initial thought was to use annotations; however, this could add a lot of
overhead to importing/exporting ROIs. As such, I am considering putting the
ImageJ version in the ROI description field and adding the boundary
behavior to the Shape name field. Does this sound like a reasonable way to
get this information into OMERO, or are there more effective methods?
Please let me know at your thoughts on this.

Thank you very much,

Alison Walter
