[ome-devel] svn -> git migration (feedback requested)

All,

Last week[0] and again today[1], the OME team met to discuss migrating our subversion repositories[2] to git. Though there are several known issues including those raised by Curtis Rueden on the ImageJ-devel mailing list in September[3], the consensus was that collaboration within the core team as well as with all the OME contributors would be facilitated by the move.

There is still much to be decided about the migration and how specifically we plan to use git, but we'd like to hear your reactions, worries?, encouragements! before finalizing those plans with the hope of easing your involvement in the project.
