[ome-users] thumbnails not visible for group members

Dear Felix,

So, just to be clear, it doesn't help if the current owner of the images
views the dataset? They also don't see thumbnails? (They're not also an
administrator?)

Who now owns the image and in which group is the image? I ask because I
wonder how that relates to where the thumbnails are. To find where a
problem image's thumbnails are, log in to the CLI as an administrator
then do,

bin/omero hql --all "SELECT details.owner.omeName, details.group.name
FROM Thumbnail WHERE pixels.image.id = 1234"

for image 1234 (so adjust a problem image's real ID). Are the thumbnails
in a different group than the image? Owned by a group member? etc.

Also, which version of OMERO do you now run? There were some
thumbnail-related changes in both server and clients in 5.4.8. That may
affect the problem somehow.
