Aha, good point - definitely go ahead and send us the output from
Bio-Formats',

        showinf -nopix -omexml ImageIndex.ColumbusIDX.xml

or whatever variant of that is needed to get the reader's view of your
data's metadata and that will help us to assign somebody to investigate
further.
