'Attachments' are general file attachments, text files, PDFs, etc. If you want to add images to a dataset, you have to 'import' them. That's
not yet possible with the web client. For that you'd have to use OMERO.Insight or the OMERO.Importer client.

The demo server is currently still running version 5.2, that means you'd have to use the latest 5.2 client version, which is 5.2.8:

Maybe you were trying to connect with a 5.3. Insight to the demo server?

I am using the "demo" version and have figured out how to add attachments to a new project or data sheet, however, the web app won't acknowledge that I've uploaded the images. In other words, I can add "attachments" (e.g. a set of images) to a new project, but it will not provide a list of thumbnails in the main program for the images that I have attached. I am therefore unable to analyze any of the images I have attached because the software will not upload them. It is basically looking at a blank screen while on the righthand panel I can see the list of attachments. I can click on the image attachment and it will prompt me to either save or open the file, but I'm unable to see them in the data sheet.

Any help or insight would be much appreciated. I have tried downloading and using the OMERO.insight software on both a macbook (personal laptop) and a windows PC (work computer), but am unable to login on either computer; this is why I am stuck using the web version.
