Brilliant, that's just what I needed!
I was indeed talking about macro code, but nothing general enough to be useful. I think the idea to just but some basic commands like a gaussian blur or a background subtraction (as in the other training materials) is fine.
Thanks again!
Dave

Hi Dave
I have opened a PR with an example on how to create a map annotation and add link it to an image
using the Java Gateway
https://github.com/openmicroscopy/openmicroscopy/pull/5601
Hope it helps
Cheers
Jmarie

Dear Dave
Thanks for your feedback. This is greatly appreciated
We will prepare an example of Map Annotations in Java in the coming days.
Following Balaji’s feedback, we will also adjust one of the exercises to use Map annotation instead of tag so it can record the parameters.
By IJ1 code, do you mean macro?
Anything that we could convert and include in some of the training material or is it too specific to your need?
Thanks again
Jmarie

Subject: [ome-users] Example for MapAnnotation in Java bindings
Firstly, I was at the Cambridge OMERO training last Friday and it was really useful, so a big thanks to Will, Balaji, Petr and all else involved behind the scenes.
I have a whole library of IJ1 code (that i can easily convert to Java) that I want to run client side on our OMERO server and I think MapAnnotations are a great way to record processing / ImageAnalysis parameters.
Would it be possible for someone to provide an example snippet for MapAnnotations (as there is for python here: https://docs.openmicroscopy.org/omero/5.4.1/developers/Python.html#write-data ) but in Java. There is not one present on the equivalent Java bindings page and I'm having a hard time transcoding the python.<https://docs.openmicroscopy.org/omero/5.4.1/developers/Python.html#write-data>
Many Thanks!
Dave
