Hello all,
I think Bio-Formats is leaking memory. I’m importing large microscopy videos (1+ GB) in .tif format using the Bio-Formats importer, one video at a time only (I close the previous video before importing a new one). Very soon I start getting out of memory exceptions (Fiji is set to a ~3.7 GB memory limit, my own system has 16 GB RAM). It is clear both from Mac’s Activity Monitor and Fiji’s Memory Monitor that most memory is not released, even after I click Fiji’s status bar. This does not happen if I open the files though Fiji (not Bio-Formats) - the memory is released after I close the file and click on Fiji’s status bar.
Mac OS X version: 10.10.5
Bio-Formats version: 5.1.4
Java version: 1.7.0_71
ImageJ version: 2.0.0-rc-39/1.50b
Thank you,
Vladimir Gritsenko
