Thanks for sharing the link to the RSS feed. I noticed that in that 
feed, the URL for the first blog post seems to be wrong:

the link contains
   http://openmicroscopy.org/file-formats/2014/10/16/file-formats/
leading to a "404 Not found" page. Instead, it should point to:
   http://blog.openmicroscopy.org/file-formats/2014/10/16/file-formats/
which leads to the blog post.

So the "blog." in the domain name is missing.

I'm looking forward to some interesting blog posts about OME.
