The University of Dundee’s Central Imaging Facility in the College of Life Sciences is a world-renowned imaging facility operating leading-edge technology and accessed by research staff within the College of Life Sciences and national and international collaborators.  A vacancy has arisen for a CLS Image Analyst.

The purpose of this post is to establish an image analysis centre within the imaging facility, utilising currently available commercial (e.g. Volocity, Imaris, SoftWorx) and open access (e.g. OMERO, ImageJ) software within the College and to provide project-focused image analysis and data processing support to facility users. The postholder will manage and maintain a suite of image analysis workstations and software packages and instigate a robust training program. The post is based within the microscope facility acting as an integral part of the Microscopy team, reporting to the Head of Imaging with additional support from the Head of Research Computing and guidance from the Academic Imaging Management Committee.

This position is available for 5 years with a closing date of the 10th May 2013.
