[ome-users] omero.importer archive option is gone

Some additional information regarding the import I referred to
previously: I left it running overnight and it still didn't complete. In
fact the logging generated by the import used up all available disk
space on our server and I was left with an incomplete data set in the
OMERO database!
You mentioned that this would fixed in a subsequent release. Do you have
any idea when that might be? The scheduling would affect our deployment
of OMERO.
Many thanks,
Mark.

Hi,
We have noticed this too... and it's quite a big problem for us.
We're intending to use OMERO as a long-term archive so it's essential
for us that the archival flag is set. We rebuild the importer to enable
the flag before deploying to our users.
After reading Bernhard's message I revisited a report from one
of our users that a Leica upload was not completing even after 2 or 3
hours. I've verified this, and tried it with the archive flag off, which
causes the upload to take just 2 minutes. This seems strange, as the
archival process should just involve copying the raw images to the
server.
I can provide logs and the sample dataset if that would help.
Mark.
