Thanks both for the update and Roger for his spare-time.

Best Wishes

Hi Ian, Roger and all-

OME Files is an important project and one that Roger led on when he worked with OME. The work is an example of OME's commitment to build reference implementations for our various formats in as many different environments and platforms as possible.

That said, the reality is we haven't been able to continue to secure funding for work on OME Files. This is more than frustrating, but just the reality of funding for technology development in academic research. We are quite grateful for all the funding and awards we've received, but we haven't been able to continuously fund all the different activities we'd like to push forward.

Kudos to Roger for continuing this work in his spare time. We of course hope this continues to be valuable for the community. We hope we can make more contributions to the OME Files project in the future.

Cheers,

Jason

Hi Ian,

Please see https://gitlab.com/codelibre/ome-files-cpp/ and the other OME Files-related repositories under https://gitlab.com/codelibre/
codelibre / ome-files-cpp<https://gitlab.com/codelibre/ome-files-cpp/>
gitlab.com
OME Files is a C++ library for reading and writing data using the open and standard OME-TIFF file format using the OME data model

There should be a new release in the next week or so, once I've finished merging the qtxml branches into each component and releasing them.

I'm now working full time for a medical diagnostics instrumentation company (LumiraDX Stirling), which I'm afraid will mean I won't have as much time to work on OME Files from now on, but the above repositories will remain open for anyone to use and contribute to, and I will continue to be working on OME Files here, albeit at a slower pace than previously.

Kind regards,
Roger
