Hi,

If you are using the Bio-Formats Java API to write the compressed images then you can modify the quality by setting the CodecOptions on the writer.
The quality filed can then be updated : https://downloads.openmicroscopy.org/bio-formats/5.8.1/api/loci/formats/codec/CodecOptions.html#quality
