[ome-devel] Java runtime on Mac

Dear Yanling

You will not be able to use Java 8 to connect to the server with the current release version I.e. 5.0.3
We have found the source of the problem, and we are currently testing a patch.
we are planning a 5.0.4 release later this month.
The reason that it asks for Java 6 runtime is mainly due to the fact that the minimum version required is Java 6
We already have a ticket I.e. https://trac.openmicroscopy.org.uk/ome/ticket/12133
and we are investigating the issue
