Dear All-
Today, The OME Consortium (http://openmicroscopy.org/site/about/development-teams), is proud to release OMERO-4.4.0-RC1.
This is a release candidate, so it's still a bit buggy but has been through about 3 weeks of serious testing by the OME team. OMERO-Beta4.4.0 focuses on updates to Permissions, a revamped web UI, and a number of other changes.
Full details are available at http://trac.openmicroscopy.org.uk/ome/milestone/OMERO-Beta4.4
The software is available at http://hudson.openmicroscopy.org.uk/job/OMERO-trunk/3011/artifact/src/target/
(please note that as this is RC1, this is for devs only; the public pages still point to the current 4.3.3/4.3.4 release.)
For those of you new to OMERO, see http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/products/omero
<http://openmicroscopy.org/>OMERO-4.4.0-RC1 is for testing only, and should not be used for production installations. We currently do not supply a database upgrade on installation, so OMERO-4.4.0-RC1 is for new installs only.
Any problems or comments, please use the OME Forums or mailing lists:
http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/community
We currently estimate another 2-3 weeks of fixes, docs, demo movies, etc., which will then lead to a final release, currently targetting mid-July.
As always, thanks for your support.
Cheers,
Jason
