Hi Matthias,

It's almost certainly PIL, the python Imaging module, which is the one
I installed by hand while visiting. 

However, if you edit:

  File
  "/home/omero4/devel/omero-trunk/dist/omeroweb/extlib/gateway.py",
  line 38

and add:

   import traceback

before the traceback module is used, then things should work fine.
