Hi Matthias

I imagine that you have declared the  variable  ServiceFactoryPrx sf
  outside the init method.

  Now, you always have to keep alive the services you have created
e.g. updateService.
At regular intervals, you should have
something sf.keepAllAlive(ServiceInterfacePrx[]) passing an array of  
services to keep alive
