[lm-announce] Data Left on Microscopes Will be Deleted After 1 Month

Dear All,

Image data is often inadvertently left on the acquisition computers on the microscopes. In the past, this has been removed manually - usually when available disk space has become critical. From next month we intend to automatically delete data that is over a month old. Please make sure that you back up data to the server after each session and continue to delete your data from the local drive after use. The automatic deletion of data is designed to avoid poor performance of imaging Pcs or experiment failure due to full hard drives. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Best wishes,
Sam
