[lm-announce] Image Analysis Workshop, 20th May

Dear All,

I will run the first "Introduction to Image Analysis and Fiji/ImageJ"
workshop on Tuesday the 20th of May. This will be a 1 day course
for up to 12 people, with talks and practical exercises taking place
in the new imaging facility area. I plan to cover:-

* Introduction to image data
* Image processing: denoising, deconvolution, registration
* Image filtering, segmentation and feature identification
* Quantification and statistics, including colocalization
* Time-lapse analysis, including tracking and kymographs
* 3D visualization, rendering and movies
* Automating image processing and writing scripts
* Other software, including OMERO, Volocity, Imaris, MATLAB
* Presenting image data and making figures

If there is demand for more spaces I will run the workshop again
soon afterwards.
