Dear colleagues and lmf users
The LMF filesystem will be offline during the usual maintenance window, this coming Tuesday, the 25th (7.30am-9am) This will be in order to enable remote cluster authorisation on the lmf gpfs cluster. Our primary goal is to be able to run a separate cluster for lmf workstations, which then cross mount the lmf filesystem. This separation is important if we are to maintain proper stability of the filesystem. In that case, all workstation hard reboots will not affect the filesystem.
You can continue to use the microscopes/workstations normally, but you will not be able to copy/move your data from/to the lmf storage during this period.
Many thanks
Benny
