[lm-announce] Food and Drink in microscope rooms

Dear All,

Following a conversation with the Head of College I have been asked to  
remind everybody that no eating or drinking is allowed in microscope  
rooms.  Doreen is stunned that this needs to be said and follows the  
discovery of Scotch egg crumbs across a new piece of equipment that  
cost in excess of half a million pounds.  Previously, we have also  
discovered crisps and (amazingly) tomato ketchup smeared across a  
microscope table.

To avoid everybody being tarred with the same brush, should you use a  
microscope and discover evidence of somebody having used it as a  
dinner plate, please do let me know - it is an easy job for us to then  
check the computer logins to identify the culprit.
