Just a reminder that due to the change back to the clustered Samba some weeks back, if you are accessing the LMF from a Windows platform you might see a small back square with a clock face on it against some of your files.

This means that the file in question has been migrated to tape. It also meens that Windows will handle the file in a sensible manner, e.g. it won't try and preview the file for example.

However the main benefit is that it provides some nice feedback to yourself as to the status of your files, and why opening a file might be taking longer than normal.

Unfortunately at this time the Mac and Linux platforms do not support this feature.
