[lm-announce] Note to DV users

Dear All,

Can I remind you please to not switch off the Linux workstations when  
you have finished using the DeltaVisions; this is causing problems  
for the users who follow you.  The correct shut down procedure is:

i) make a note of lamp hours (under settings/imaging)
ii) clean up after yourself and move data to the lmf server, deleting  
it from the local drive immediately after
iii) log out, turn off the ICMIC, turn off the power strip
iv) fill out the log book
v) remove any optics you have inserted into the light path - laser  
mirror, DIC components, UV blocking filter etc.

The microscope chamber and Linux PC should be left on at all times.
