[lm-announce] LMF Spectris - system down

Dear All,

Bad news I'm afraid.  We have a broken Z motor on the LMF spectris  
that is rendering this microscope unusable until further notice.   
Peter Sumner, our field service engineer, is scheduled to visit us a  
week today; I have raised the issue with him and I hope he will be  
able to fix it on site.  If not, I will let you know when we can  
expect a replacement part.
