During the at risk period (07:00-09:00) on Tuesday December 22nd, the LMF file servers will be shutdown to enable the software on the storage controllers to be upgraded. This is because some of the updates require all access to the storage system to be suspended during the updates.

This was originally scheduled to be done this week, however there was insufficient time to complete all the changes.

As a reminder from 17:00 on the 23rd of December performance of the LMF will likely be significantly impacted due to a restripe operation on the file system. This shuffles all the information on the disks about for improved performance.

We hope this will be completed by 09:00 on the 5th January but there is no guarantees as there is no way to know in advance.
