[lm-announce] OMERO-Beta3 Release

Hi-

Many of you have been using OMERO for your image data management  
needs.  We are moving towards our next release, OMERO-Beta3.  There  
are many new features in Beta3 that enhance the use of tagging and  
annotation.  In addition, our first steps towards supporting image  
analysis will appear as well.

Please keep an eye on the OMERO blog (http://www.openmicroscopy.org/ 
omero-blog).  This is where we will be announcing all details of  
release of new versions, switching of nightshade over to Beta3,  and  
availability for downloading of updated versions of OMERO clients.   
Please use the blog for any comments, advice, etc.

We will have a series of updates to Beta3 during the summer to bring  
in new analysis functionality and also to support HCS data-- stay tuned!

Thanks again to all who have helped us during the testing of this new  
version-- your time, energy and feedback are much appreciated.
