Hello All,

In addition to the autofocus problem on this microscope,a shutter problem has also developed. The system will work fine for 45 minutes or so,then the excitation shutter will not stay open when you press the button on the keypad. This was a problem on the old machines, where the remedy was to move the eyepiece filter wheel about a couple of times.Unfortunately, this does not seem to cure the problem on the new machine. When acquiring images there is no problem, but when searching for cells etc. you'll have trouble. Please carry on using the 'scope if you can put up with this;if not,the old LMF Spectris and LMF DV3 systems are working fine ,so use these instead.
A new instrument controller is on the way from the States as we speak and will be installed in the next couple of weeks to rectify these problems.

Cheers,

Calum.
