Dear All,
The 2nd floor spectris was in a hell of a state this morning. Please
pay careful attention to the following -
1. DO NOT, EVER, turn off the heated chamber. If you have the
option to do fixed cell work on the LMF DV3, AIL DV3 or LMF spectris,
use those instead. If you're doing fixed work on the 2nd floor, you
need to do it at 37 C.
2. DO NOT turn off the C02 regulator.
3. The C02 flow rate should be one bubble per second. If you don't
know what I'm talking about you shouldn't be using it until we've
shown you.
4. Clean up after yourselves. Wipe oil from the lenses you've used,
clean the eyepieces, move your data, take away any old dishes or
slides you're done with.
5. Either email me or come and tell me if you i) find the microscope
in an unacceptably poor state or ii) have any problems while using it.
Thanks,
Sam
