[lm-announce] 2nd floor spectris lamp problems

Dear All,

We are experiencing some problems with the fluorescence burner on the 
2nd floor Spectris.  The symptoms are that the bulb may fail to ignite 
properly and the green light on the power supply flickers.  A new part 
is being ordered as we speak.  Until it arrives you may wish to avoid 
potential frustration and use the AIL spectris for live cell work, or 
the LMF spectris or either of the DV3s for fixed cell work.  These are 
all bookable from the central calendar.  If you  are feeling anxious
