Hi,

In order to make life easier for ourselves, and to move away from a non-standard operating system, we are considering creating a new Omero server and cloning our existing Omero Database to a newly built server based on our standard operating
system build. Is this possible, and if so, should we follow the “OMERO.server backup and restore” documentation on the Openmicroscopy website (http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/support/omero4/sysadmins/server-backup-and-restore.html)?

I can see from the instructions on the above page, that the OMERO.server version for the new server should “match” the version originally installed. Is there any way in which we can perform an update (from 4.3.4 to 4.4.8) as part of this
process, or will we need to clone the server at version 4.3.4 and then perform the upgrade separately afterwards?
