You might also try the new-fangled clicky installer for OS X:<BR>

This will install all dependencies (Postgres, perl and C libs, etc) <BR>
without using fink.<BR>
The OME code-base it installs is a few weeks old from CVS, but that's <BR>
easily updated once you install it the first time.<BR>
You can copy the contents of the mounted "OME-Installer" disk (or <BR>
just the Resources/OME folder inside it) to your favorite place, then <BR>
do a "cvs up -dPA" from that directory in the terminal, and then re-<BR>
install the update by doing "sudo perl install.pl -y" (or, don't use <BR>
"-y" if you want to modify the install parameters).<BR>
