Dear all,

we uploaded an image in mvd2 format (volocity, from PerkinElmer) to an OMERO 5.4.10 server using bio-formats 5.9.2. The resulting image in OMERO gets a name like this (short and concise...):

140620_3_TPK030xBInRDNECadRFP_InRDNclon_30min38°C_incubation48h25°C_60xw_40%.mvd2 [140620_1_TPK030xBInRDNECadRFP_InRDNclon_30min38C_incubation48h25C_60xw_40% 2/XY point 11]

The special character ° (degree sign) from the filename is not modified, but the name of the sub image in square brackets also contains a ° that results into a (like a question mark). The image name looks the same both in OMERO.web and in OMERO.insight. We did not see this behaviour when uploading the same image to an OMERO 5.4.5 server using bio-formats 5.7.3.

I don’t know if this is from something in the underlying linux or if this could have something to do with the last upgrade we did. I have an image that i could upload somewhere that causes this, but the only one i have has 56 GB unfortunately.

Best regards, Sascha
